# Pricing

> Fanfare plans, what each plan includes, and the Fanfare checkout fee on paid orders

Fanfare pricing has two parts: a plan subscription, and a percentage Fanfare takes on each paid order processed through Fanfare checkout. Stripe bills its own processing fees directly to your Stripe account.

## Plans

| Plan | Price | Fanfare checkout: draws, queues, auctions | Fanfare checkout: timed releases |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Starter** | \$0 | 3.5% | 1.75% |
| **Growth** | \$199/month | 2.75% | 1.25% |
| **Pro** | \$799/month | 2.25% | 1.0% |
| **Enterprise** | Custom quote | Negotiated | Negotiated |

Each plan has one rate per experience type, with no fixed per-order component.

## Features by Plan

Each plan includes everything in the plan before it.

| Feature | Starter | Growth | Pro | Enterprise |
| - | :-: | :-: | :-: | :-: |
| Timed releases, queues, draws and auctions | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Waitlists | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Appointments | | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Hosted experience pages (create, publish, custom domains) | | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Design Studio templates | | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Audiences (create, import, sync, membership rules) | | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Marketing integrations (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, SendGrid, Instagram) | | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Loyalty tiers | | | ✓ | ✓ |
| Wallet passes | | | ✓ | ✓ |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Plans control what you can create and publish. They never limit consumers entering a live experience, the notifications consumers receive, or pages and experiences you have already published. If you move to a lower plan, existing experiences, pages and integrations keep working, and you can still unpublish, archive, delete or disconnect them. Creating, publishing or editing a feature outside your new plan requires upgrading.

## Fanfare Checkout Fees

When a consumer pays through Fanfare checkout, Fanfare takes a percentage of the order value. The rate depends on your plan and the experience type:

* **Draws, queues and auctions** use the standard rate.
* **Timed releases** use the timed release rate.
* **Appointments** don't take payment through Fanfare checkout, so no fee applies.

The fee is calculated on the order total and rounded to the nearest cent. It is collected as a Stripe application fee on each paid order, so the rest of the payment settles to your Stripe account.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Fanfare checkout currently takes payments in US dollars, for organizations whose Stripe account is based in the United States.

### Stripe Processing

Stripe charges its processing fees, and any fees for Radar, 3D Secure or disputes, directly to your Stripe account at your Stripe rates. Fanfare's fee is separate from Stripe's. See [Stripe pricing](https://stripe.com/pricing) for Stripe's current rates.

### Examples

| Order | Experience | Plan | Rate | Fanfare fee |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| \$100 | Draw | Starter | 3.5% | \$3.50 |
| \$100 | Timed release | Starter | 1.75% | \$1.75 |
| \$100 | Draw | Pro | 2.25% | \$2.25 |

Stripe's processing fee for each order is charged to your Stripe account in addition to the Fanfare fee.

### When Your Plan Changes

The rate is fixed when a consumer starts paying for an order. If your plan changes during a live experience, orders already in progress keep the rate they started with, and later orders use the new plan's rate.

## Refunds

| Refund | Fanfare fee |
| - | - |
| You refund an order (a return, a goodwill gesture, a partial refund) | Kept |
| You refund a payment from your own Stripe Dashboard (connected existing Stripe accounts) | Kept |
| Fanfare refunds a held payment because no sale happened | Returned |

When you refund an order, Fanfare keeps its fee, the same way Stripe keeps its processing fee. When Fanfare releases a held payment because the consumer did not win or the purchase was voided, no sale happened, so the fee is returned with the refund.

If you refund part of a payment and Fanfare later refunds the rest because no sale happened, Stripe returns the whole Fanfare fee on that payment, including the share Fanfare kept on your earlier refund.

If you believe a fee should be returned in another case, contact [billing@fanfare.io](mailto:billing@fanfare.io). Fee returns outside these cases are reviewed case by case, and you can't reverse the fee from your own Stripe Dashboard.

## Disputes

Stripe charges its dispute fee to your Stripe account. If you lose a dispute, Fanfare keeps its fee on the order.

## Payouts

Payouts follow your Stripe payout schedule. If you use Instant Payouts, Stripe charges its Instant Payout fee to your Stripe account.

## Enterprise

Enterprise plans include every feature and negotiated checkout rates. Contact [sales@fanfare.io](mailto:sales@fanfare.io) to discuss your requirements.

## Shopify

If you installed the Fanfare app from the Shopify App Store, you pay your Fanfare plan on your Shopify invoice, and you change or cancel it from the Fanfare app in your Shopify admin. The prices on this page are for plans billed through Fanfare.

Fanfare checkout fees apply only to payments taken through Fanfare checkout, which settle to your Stripe account. Orders that consumers pay for through Shopify's own checkout carry no Fanfare checkout fee.
